The collaboration project is named after Neil Armstrong’s Moon Bag – “LUNAR SAMPLE RETURN”. Armstrong’s Moon Bag traveled to the moon and returned to Earth during the Apollo 11 mission, the bag collected moon dust and rock samples from the Sea of Tranquility.
LUNAR SAMPLE RETURN celebrates the first human step on the moon, as well as the effort, knowledge, and discoveries on space exploration, pushing our physical boundaries and achieving the impossible.
